Product Introduction

AD7705 Data Acquisition Module

The AD7705 is an ideal circuit for microcontrollers and digital signal processors systems, which can further reduce costs, shrink size, and decrease the complexity of the system. It is applied in microprocessors , digital signal processing systems, handheld instruments, and distributed data acquisition systems. The AD7705 has a serial clock and Schmitt logic input. Connect an external serial clock to this input port to access the serial data of the AD7705/7706. When transmitting data with the microcontroller, the control clock provides the main clock signal to the converter.

AD7606 Data Acquisition Module

The AD7606 is a new generation 16-bit, 8-channel, synchronous sampling, bipolar input analog-to-digital converter ADC launched by ADI Company.

The AD7606 multi-channel integrated circuit can conveniently realize the measurement and monitoring of multiple I&V (current and voltage) in intelligent substations. This enables the power line monitoring system to monitor and manage various abnormal events occurring on the power grid in real time, achieving the comprehensive integration of intelligent substation functions, digitization of system protection, control, and measurement devices, intelligent operation management, adapting to the development of the power market.

  5. Maximum sampling frequency 200Ksps. Supports 8-level oversampling settings (can effectively reduce jitter)

Note:To facilitate your selection, the dual-row pins (2×8/2.54mm spacing) for analog input on the front of the PCB board of the AD7606 Data Acquisition Module are not soldered. We will provide 2×8 dual-row pins and 8 jumper caps for you to choose whether to solder them upwards or downwards by yourself.

AD7606 Data Acquisition Module shipment: The 2×8 dual-row pins on the front are not soldered (provided with the pins, you can solder them yourself), while the 2×15 dual-row pins on the bottom are soldered.

AD7705 Data Acquisition Module has been soldered by customers.

Matters Need Attention

  • AD7606
  1. The AD7606 module we manufacture has an 8080 parallel interface. If using the SPI interface mode, the configurations of R1 and R2 resistors need to be modified.
  2. Parallel interface jumper: R1 is left unconnected (not attached), R2 is attached with a 10K resistor.

SPI interface jumper: R1 is attached with a 10K resistor, R2 is left unconnected (not attached).

  1. The configuration of AD7606 is very simple. It has no internal registers. The range and oversampling parameters are controlled by external IO. The sampling rate is controlled by the pulse frequency provided by the MCU or DSP.
  2. The AD7606 must be powered by a single 5V supply.

The communication interface level between AD7606 and the MCU is controlled by the VIO pin. That is to say, VIO must be connected to the power supply of the microcontroller, which can be 3.3V or 5V.
