Product Introduction

MAX30100/MAX30102 is a module integrating a pulse oximeter and heart rate monitor biosensor. It incorporates a red light LED and an infrared light LED, a photodetector, a light device, as well as a low-noise electronic circuit with environmental light suppression.

MAX30102 uses a 1.8V power supply and an independent 5.0V power supply for the internal LEDs and is applied to wearable devices for heart rate and blood oxygen collection and detection. It is worn on fingers, earlobes, and wrists, etc. The standard 12C compatible communication interface transmits the collected values to Arduino, KL25z, etc. single-chip microcontrollers for heart rate and blood oxygen calculation. Additionally, this chip can be shut down through software to achieve a power supply state where the current is close to zero, maintaining the power supply status all the time. Due to its excellent performance, this chip has been widely used in Samsung Galaxy S7 mobile phones.

Compared with the previous generation product MAX30100, MAX30102 integrates a glass cover, which can effectively eliminate external and internal light interference.

This heart rate and blood oxygen sensor module is a biosensor module made according to the power requirements of MAX30100 – MAX30102. Its 12C communication interface voltage is compatible with 1.8V/5V and can communicate normally with conventional microcontroller development boards such as Arduino, KL25Z, STM32, etc. In addition, it provides corresponding heart rate and blood oxygen programs, which can be easily used to cooperate with various development boards for heart rate and blood oxygen concentration monitoring.
