DESCRPIPTION AND FEATURES

Product Introduction

This accelerometer module is based on the LIS3DH (note: the text mentions “LISDH” which is likely a typo for LIS3DH) MEMS 3-axis accelerometer chip produced by STMicroelectronics. It is an intelligent, low-power, 3-axis, capacitive micro-mechanical accelerometer module with 12-bit resolution, capable of realizing motion sensing functions.

The LIS3DH 3-Axis Accelerator is an ultra-low-power, high-performance 3-axis linear accelerometer that belongs to the “nano” embedded state machine family, and can be programmed to enable autonomous applications. This LIS3DSH features dynamically selectable full scales of ±2g/±4g/±6g/±8g/±16g, and it can measure acceleration with an output data rate ranging from 3.125 Hz to 1.6 kHz. A self-test function allows users to verify the sensor’s functionality in the final application.
This device can be configured to generate interrupt signals triggered by user-defined motion patterns.

The LIS3DSH is equipped with a first-in, first-out (FIFO) buffer, which lets users store data to reduce host processor intervention.

The LIS3DSH comes in a small, thin land grid array (LGA) package, and it operates reliably over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

LIS3DH 3-Axis Accelerometer Pin Description

LIS3DH 3-Axis Accelerometer

At the bottom of the front side, there is a jumper pad corresponding to the I2C address adjustment function. When the pad is soldered (connected), the address 0x18 is used; otherwise, if left open, the address is 0x19. Important note: Keep this pad open when using SPI.
