What is TT L TO RS485 Module

The TTL to RS485 module is a key serial port conversion device, mainly used to realize bidirectional conversion between TTL level signals and RS485 differential signals. It can effectively solve the defects of short transmission distance (usually only a few meters) and weak anti-interference ability of TTL signals. By virtue of the differential transmission characteristics of the RS485 bus, it can extend the communication distance to hundreds of meters and support multi-node networking (up to 32 devices), which greatly improves the communication reliability in industrial environments.
The core of the module is composed of level conversion chips (such as MAX485, SP3485, etc.). Some high-end models integrate hardware automatic flow control circuits, which do not require additional microcontroller to control the direction, simplifying the circuit design. The external is usually equipped with terminal blocks, which facilitate the connection of RX/TX pins of TTL devices (such as microcontrollers, sensors) with A/B lines of RS485 bus.
