Description
- The LCD screen displays frequency and duty cycle clearly. The PWM output allows separate setting of frequency and duty cycle.
- It has a wide frequency range and high precision.
- It supports serial communication, is easy to use, has a small size, can be installed in most environments, and is compatible with most scenarios requiring PWM adjustment.
Module Description
PWM output allows separate setting of frequency and duty cycle;
The frequency is divided into four ranges with automatic switching:
1.XXX (no decimal point): The minimum unit is 1Hz, with a value range of 1Hz – 999Hz;
2.X.XX (decimal point at the hundreds place): The minimum unit is 0.01kHz, with a value range of 1.00kHz – 9.99kHz;
3.XX.X (decimal point at the tens place): The minimum unit is 0.1kHz, with a value range of 10.0kHz – 99.9kHz;
4.X.X.X (decimal points at the tens and hundreds places): The minimum unit is 1kHz, with a value range of 1kHz – 150kHz;
For example:
Frequency display “100” means the PWM outputs pulses of 100Hz;
- “100” means the PWM outputs pulses of 100Hz;
- “1.01” means the PWM outputs pulses of 1.01kHz;
- “54.1” means the PWM outputs pulses of 54.1kHz;
- “1.2.4” means the PWM outputs pulses of 124kHz;
Duty cycle range: 0 – 100%;
All set parameters are saved when the power is off.
Parameter Setting
The module is equipped with 4 independent buttons for setting frequency and duty cycle. It supports short pressing (increasing or decreasing by one unit) and long pressing (quickly increasing or decreasing). After setting the parameters, they are saved automatically and will not be lost when the power is off.
Electrical Parameters
- Operating voltage: 3.3 – 30V;
- Frequency range: 1Hz – 150kHz;
- Frequency accuracy: approximately 2% in each range;
- Signal load capacity: the output current can be about 5 – 30mA;
- Output amplitude: the PWM amplitude is equal to the power supply voltage;
- Ambient temperature: -20 – +70℃.
Application
- Used as a square wave signal generator to generate square wave signals for experimental development;
- Used to generate square wave signals for controlling motor drivers;
- Generate adjustable pulses for MCU (Microcontroller Unit) use;
- Generate adjustable pulses to control related circuits (applications such as PWM dimming and speed regulation).
Communication Introduction
- Setting the frequency of PWM
- “F101”: Set the frequency to 101Hz (001 – 999);
- “F1.05”: Set the frequency to 1.05kHz (1.00 – 9.99);
- “F10.5”: Set the frequency to 10.5kHz (10.0 – 99.9);
- “F1.0.5”: Set the frequency to 105kHz (1.0.0 – 1.5.0).
- Setting the duty cycle of PWM
- “DXXX”: Set the duty cycle of PWM to XXX% (001 – 100)
- For example, “D050” sets the PWM duty cycle to 50%.
- Reading set parameters
- Send the string “read” to read the set parameters.
- Return “DOWN” if the setting is successful;
- Return “FALL” if the setting fails.
