Introduction
The XL4015 5A DC-DC Buck Converter Power Module is a high-performance switching-mode buck power module. It supports an input voltage range of 8V-36V and an adjustable output voltage range of 1.25V-32V, providing a constant output current of 5A with a maximum efficiency of up to 96%. Equipped with thermal shutdown, current limiting, and short-circuit protection, it is reliable for industrial, automotive, IoT, and DIY projects, ensuring efficient and stable voltage conversion.
XL4015 5A DC-DC Buck Converter Power Module—— -With Display +3D Shell
This XL4015 5A DC-DC Buck Converter Power Module is different from the LM2596 and XL4005 buck modules available on the market. The chips they use are designed for powers of 15W and 50W respectively. This buck module adopts an upgraded chip, which is superior to similar products in input and output voltage range, output power, and efficiency, with a power of up to 75W, and has a very high cost-performance ratio. mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
- The module comes with a crystal case, which is safer and more aesthetically pleasing.
- It includes a voltmeter, ammeter, power meter, and a USB port for charging digital products.
Precaution
- When using the product.
- When charging digital devices, make sure the USB output voltage is 5V.
- If the module cannot adjust the output voltage and it always equals the input voltage, please rotate the “potentiometer” counterclockwise for 10 turns or more, then you can use the module to adjust the output voltage. The default factory output voltage is about 20V.
- The case assembly is very simple, but pay attention to the directionality of the “left”, “right”, and “front” panels during assembly!
Applications
- Usage of Buck Module with Overcurrent Protection:
- Adjust the right button to light up the “OUT” LED. Use a digital multimeter to check the output voltage and adjust the “voltage potentiometer” to set the desired output voltage.
- Adjust the right button to make the digital meter display the output current. Short-circuit the output terminals and adjust the “current potentiometer” to set the overcurrent protection value. (For example, if the digital meter shows 4A, the module’s maximum current is 4A.)
- Connect to the load.
- Usage as a Battery Charger:
- Determine the float voltage and charging current for the battery. (For a 3.7V/2200mAh lithium battery, the float voltage is 4.2V and the maximum charging current is 1C, i.e., 2200mA.)
- Under no-load condition, adjust the “voltage potentiometer” to set the output voltage to the float voltage. (For a 3.7V rechargeable lithium battery, the output voltage can be adjusted to 4.2V.)
- Adjust the right button to make the digital meter display the output current. Short-circuit the output terminals and adjust the “current potentiometer” to set the charging current.
- The default charging indicator current is 0.1 times the charging current. (If the charging current is set to 1A, when the charging current is less than 0.1A, the blue light turns off and the green light turns on, indicating the battery is fully charged.)
- Connect to the battery for charging. (Steps 1-4: The output is unloaded, do not connect the battery.)
- Usage as an LED Constant Current Driver Module:
- Adjust the “potentiometer” to set the desired output voltage.
- Adjust the right button to make the digital meter display the output current. Short-circuit the output terminals and adjust the “current potentiometer” to set the working current.
- Connect the LED and it will work. (Steps 1-2: The output is unloaded, do not connect the LED.)
Calibration Method for Voltmeter and Ammeter
- Output Voltage Calibration Steps:
- Step 1: Adjust the right button to light up the “OUT” LED. Use a digital multimeter to check the output voltage. Press and hold the right button for more than 2 seconds, then release. The digital multimeter and “OUT” LED will flash out of sync, and you will enter the output voltage calibration mode.
- Step 2: Press the right button at normal speed to adjust the voltage value in equal units. Press the left button to adjust to the minimum unit of 0.1V. The minimum voltage display is 0.1V, so you need to press 1-5 times to see a 0.1V change on the voltmeter. The number of presses to change 0.1V depends on the current displayed voltage; the higher the voltage, the fewer presses.
- Step 3: Press and hold the right button for more than 2 seconds, then release. Exit the calibration mode, and all parameters will be saved automatically when powered off.
- Input Voltage Calibration Steps:
- Step 1: Adjust the right button to light up the “IN” LED. Use a digital multimeter to check the input voltage. Press and hold the right button for more than 2 seconds, then release. The digital multimeter and “IN” LED will flash out of sync, and you will enter the input voltage calibration mode.
- Step 2 and Step 3: The method is the same as the output voltage calibration.
- Output Current Calibration Steps:
- Step 1: Adjust the right button to make the digital meter display the output current. Press and hold the right button for more than 2 seconds, then release. The digital meter will flash synchronously, and you will enter the output current calibration mode.
- Step 2: Connect to the load and connect an ammeter in series. Adjust the left and right buttons to make the digital meter display the same as the ammeter.
