Product Introduction
The Bluetooth module is a PCBA board that integrates Bluetooth functionality. It is used for short-range wireless communication. According to its function, it is divided into Bluetooth data module and Bluetooth voice module. It is the basic circuit assembly of an integrated Bluetooth function chip and is used for wireless network communication. It can be roughly classified into data transmission module, remote control module, etc.
HC-05 Feature
①Product Introduction : The inclusion of a base plate makes the module more versatile. The six pins thus generated are directly connected to the serial port of the microcontroller. Once the pairing is successful, they can be used as a group of serial ports for data transmission.
②Pins: KEY, VCC, GND, RXD, TXD, STATE. STATE is the output pin for Bluetooth status. When not connected, it outputs a low level. When connected, it outputs a high level. KEY is the pin for AT command settings, functioning similarly to the button.
③Key : The key is equivalent to pulls pins 3 and 4 high or low. It is used in conjunction with AT commands. (Most AT commands are only effective when they are sent after pressing the keys.)
④Voltage specification : The input voltage ranges from 3.2V to 6V. The power supply has built-in protection against reverse connection, but it will not function when reverse connection occurs.

When the master has not recorded the slave address: fast flashing
When the master has recorded the slave address: slow flashing

- After connection:
The LED flashes twice and then stops.
- First set the KEY pin high, then power on the module to enter the AT command mode. The baud rate is fixed at 38400. The LED lights up for 1 second every 2 seconds.
⑥Interface description : The interface voltage range is 3.2 to 6V. It can be connected to various microcontrollers (ARDUION, 51, AVR, PIC, ARM, MSP430, etc.). 5V microcontrollers can be directly connected. Connect the microcontroller serial port directly, without going through the MAX232 chip.
⑦Communication range: In an open environment, the effective range is 10 meters. It is possible to exceed 10 meters, but anything beyond 10 meters cannot guarantee the communication quality.
⑧Communication method: After successful pairing, it can be used as a full-duplex serial port without requiring any knowledge of Bluetooth protocols. The default common communication format is 9600, 1, N (The AT command can set the stop bit to 2, odd or even parity).
⑨Master-slave machine settings: The module is a master-slave integrated unit. The factory default is slave mode. It can be switched to master mode by using AT commands. AT+RLOE=0/1/2. 0 represents slave mode, 1 represents master mode, and 2 represents loopback mode. When setting, the pins 3 and 4 need to be set high or the button on the module needs to be pressed.
⑩ Default values: Slave mode, baud rate 9600, Bluetooth name HC-05, pairing password 1234, LED status light is on.

HC-05 Application
1. Product Application
After the modules are paired, they can be used as a wired serial cable. As long as the serial device follows the communication format of “fixed baud rate, 8-bit data bits, no parity check”, the module can replace the traditional serial cable. No program modification is required, and wiring work can be omitted. It is flexible to use.
2. Pairing with non-bluetooth desktop computers
Connect the HC-05-USB to the desktop computer and pair directly. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between PC and devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
3. Pairing with laptops
Power on the module and use the built-in Bluetooth of the computer to search and connect. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between laptops and devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
4. Pairing with Android phones
Power on the module and use the built-in Bluetooth of the phone to connect, or use the Serial Port Assistant to connect. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between phones and devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
5. Pairing with Bluetooth masters
Set two HC-05 as a master and a slave, and pair and connect. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between two devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
6. Master memory function
The HC-05 or HC-05-USB serving as the master will remember the paired devices. If you want to connect other slaves, you need to clear the pairing memory first.
