Product Introduction
The HC-05 supports various transmission protocols, including serial communication (UART) and Bluetooth SPP (serial communication). The HC-05 can switch between master mode and slave mode, offering high flexibility. It supports the setting of Bluetooth connection passwords to enhance security. The HC-05 can be configured and controlled through AT commands, such as changing the Bluetooth name, baud rate, pairing password, etc.
Note : To enter the AT mode, you need to power on the device first and then hold the button for more than 2 seconds. The slow flashing indicates that the AT mode has been entered.

HC-05 Pin Definition
The HC 05 module has 6 pins, including VCC (power supply), GND (ground), TXD (transmit data), RXD (receive data), STATE (status), and EN (enable). The STATE pin can be used to detect the connection status and the working mode of the module.
HC-05 Application
1. Product Application
After the modules are paired, they can be used as a wired serial cable. As long as the serial device follows the communication format of “fixed baud rate, 8-bit data bits, no parity check”, the module can replace the traditional serial cable. No program modification is required, and wiring work can be omitted. It is flexible to use.
2. Pairing with non-bluetooth desktop computers
Connect the HC-05-USB to the desktop computer and pair directly. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between PC and devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
3. Pairing with laptops
Power on the module and use the built-in Bluetooth of the computer to search and connect. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between laptops and devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
4. Pairing with Android phones
Power on the module and use the built-in Bluetooth of the phone to connect, or use the Serial Port Assistant to connect. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between phones and devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
5. Pairing with Bluetooth masters
Set two HC-05 as a master and a slave, and pair and connect. Suitable for Bluetooth serial communication between two devices. The usage method is the same as serial.
6. Master memory function
The HC-05 or HC-05-USB serving as the master will remember the paired devices. If you want to connect other slaves, you need to clear the pairing memory first.
