4-digit segment displays are now popular digital display solutions, commonly seen in both engineering products and DIY projects. Each module integrates two 74HC595 chips — one controlling the digits and the other controlling the display positions. These chips are connected in series, which saves a large number of I/O pins, reduces the developer’s I/O allocation burden, and lowers the MCU’s driving current. The module supports a wide operating voltage range of 3.3V–5V, ensuring compatibility with most application scenarios.
