DESCRIPTIONS AND FEATURES

Light Sensor(Line Tracking Module)

The principle of the light-based tracking sensor is different from that of the infrared sensor. It performs line tracking based on the data fed back by the light sensor.Generally, a light – dependent resistor is built into the light sensor. The resistance value of this light – dependent resistor varies under different light intensities. This resistance value will affect the output voltage. Based on the received voltage value, the microcontroller can determine whether the vehicle is operating normally or has deviated from the route.

The specific working principle of this analog grayscale sensor is that the LED light on the right emits light. After the emitted light is reflected, it is received by the light – dependent resistor on the left, and the resistance value changes. Based on the resistance value, it can be determined whether the vehicle is driving along the black line.

Programming Principle

The grayscale sensor has three pins in total, namely the positive power supply Vcc, the power ground GND, and the signal terminal OUT. In actual use, the sensor can be directly connected to the analog interface of the Arduino controller, such as analog port A0. After powering on the Arduino, the white high – brightness LED of the sensor lights up. Place the sensor on papers with different grayscale levels. The built – in AD conversion of the Arduino controller is used to read data, and then the measured analog quantity can be printed out through the serial port.
