Introduction to Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor
Different from most resistive sensors available on the market, this capacitive soil moisture sensor adopts the principle of capacitive sensing to detect soil moisture. It avoids the problem that resistive sensors are extremely prone to corrosion, thus greatly extending its service life. The sensor has a built-in voltage regulator chip and supports a wide voltage working environment of 3.3~5.5V, which means it can work normally even on a 3.3V ARDUINO main control board. For micro PCs like Raspberry Pi, it can work only by connecting an external ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) module.
