Parameters
Input Specifications
It supports a wide input voltage range of 4–13 V and comes with various interface types, including USB-C, Micro-USB, and standard USB. This means it can be easily powered by common devices like 5V power banks, 9V fast-charging adapters, and other power supplies within this voltage range. It greatly enhances flexibility in usage scenarios and solves power supply problems caused by incompatible input interfaces or limited voltage ranges.
Output Capacity
The output voltage can be continuously adjusted within a wide range of 1–30 V, the output current adjustment range is 0–2 A, and the maximum output power can reach 15 W. This wide range of output parameter adjustment capabilities allows it to be compatible with many electronic devices with different requirements. For example, it can provide stable power for small routers that work at 12V and 1A; it can also accurately adjust the output voltage to 3.7V to meet the charging needs of lithium batteries. Moreover, by adjusting the current, the charging speed can be effectively controlled to avoid damage to the battery due to overcharging.
Accuracy Indicators
The voltage resolution is 0.01 V, and the current resolution is 0.001 A. In practical applications, this high-precision feature has significant advantages. Take driving precision electronic components as an example: when powering certain sensors that have strict requirements on power supply voltage accuracy, the voltage can be accurately set to the specific value they need, ensuring the sensors work stably and accurately, and effectively reducing measurement errors caused by voltage fluctuations or insufficient accuracy.
Functional Features
Digital Adjustment and LCD Monitoring
Voltage step: 0.01/0.1 V; Current step: 0.001/0.01 A. The LCD displays real-time input/output voltage, current, power, temperature, capacity, and time statistics.
Fast Charging Protocol Deception
It can force the adapter to output higher voltage/current to meet the 15 W requirement. Supported protocols: QC2.0, QC3.0, AFC, FCP, SCP. It also supports auto-matching or off mode. If the triggering is successful, it displays “OK” and the FC blue light stays on.
Safety and Protection
It has multiple protections such as reverse connection protection, over-current protection, and over-temperature protection to ensure safe use.
What is Fast Charging Deception?
Fast charging deception uses a 5V charging adapter for power supply. To reach 15 W, the input current needs to be 4 A or more (considering voltage drop on the USB line and module conversion efficiency, etc.). Ordinary 5V adapters are difficult to achieve this. Therefore, this module adds a fast charging deception function to make the adapter output higher voltage or current. Please note that you can choose a charger or charging device that supports fast charging protocols.
- Press and hold the main SET/M button on the knob for more than 3 seconds to automatically enter the fast charging protocol selection interface, and the LCD screen will display the protocol name.
- Press the + and – buttons on the knob to select QC2.0, QC3.0, AFC, FCP, SCP, AUTO, and OFF. Short-press the SET/M button to trigger the protocol. If the triggering is successful, it will display “OK” and the FC blue light stays on; otherwise, it will display “Err” and the FC blue light goes out. Alternatively, after selecting the protocol, press the SET/M button to trigger a deception operation, then exit the fast charging protocol interface directly. This protocol will be automatically triggered every time it is turned on.
If you don’t know which protocol the charger supports, you can select the “AUTO” mode, and the module will automatically select a matching deception protocol; if you don’t want to use the deception function, you can select the “OFF” mode.
Typical Applications
With its wide voltage output, simple operation, and stable performance, the ZK-DP module has a wide range of application scenarios. It can play an important role in both daily power supply and electronic DIY projects:
Ordinary Power Supply: It can provide stable voltage for small electronic devices (such as mini radios, small sensors, and electronic toys), replacing dedicated power adapters and reducing device idleness.
Battery Charging: It is suitable for charging small-capacity lithium batteries (such as 18650 lithium batteries and small button lithium batteries). By accurately adjusting the voltage, overcharging is avoided, and the battery life is protected.
LED Driving Power Supply: It can drive various low-power LED devices (such as LED lamp beads, LED strips, and small LED desk lamps). The brightness can be controlled by adjusting the voltage to meet the lighting needs of different scenarios.
Instrument and Circuit Testing: During electronic DIY or circuit maintenance, it can be used as a temporary test power supply to provide adjustable voltage for the circuit or instrument to be tested, helping to troubleshoot circuit faults (such as determining whether components are damaged due to voltage issues).
Power Conversion: In scenarios where voltage conversion is required (such as converting 5V USB power to 12V for small devices), there is no need to build additional complex circuits. The module can directly realize voltage conversion, which is convenient and efficient.
