Product Introduction
The MCP2515 is an independent controller for local area network protocol, fully supporting the CANV2.0B technical specification. This device can send/receive standard and extended data frames as well as remote frames. The two acceptance shielding registers and six acceptance filtering registers built-in in the MCP2515 can filter out unwanted messages, thereby reducing the overhead of the main microcontroller. The connection between the MCP2515 and the MCU is achieved through the standard serial peripheral interface (SPI).
This module communicates with the MCU via the SPI interface. The RPi 2B/3B expansion board contains SPI bus signals, making it convenient to operate this module. This enables us to easily obtain communication data on the CAN bus using the can-util tool, and also allows us to perform read and write operations on the devices on the CAN bus.

- 120 ohm terminal resistor, the J1 can be short-circuited by using the short-circuit cap.

- Operating temperature: industrial grade -40℃ to +85℃, extended grade -40℃ to +125℃.
