The SS56 series of Schottky diodes are housed in a standard, compact SMA package. They are characterized by high stability, high reliability, and low leakage current. Applications
Utilizing the unidirectional conductivity of diodes, this module uses two SS56 Schottky diodes in parallel to provide reverse polarity protection for various circuits.
Simply connect this module in series between the positive terminal of the power supply and the input of the circuit. The module’s anode (positive) connects to the power supply’s positive terminal, and its cathode (negative) connects to the circuit’s input.
If the power supply polarity is reversed, the diodes will block current from entering the circuit, thereby providing reverse connection protection.
